We are now recruiting two Business Development Specialists to join our growing team at our Maresfield head office.

The Role

As a Business Development Specialist, you will support new and existing customers, prepare quotations, follow up enquiries and help identify opportunities for growth.

This position is primarily office-based, however you will also visit key account sites around the UK when required, which may occasionally involve overnight stays.
All travel and hotel accommodation is fully provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle and qualify inbound enquiries Prepare accurate and timely quotations Follow up on quotes to maximise conversions Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with new and existing customers Provide excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving Identify and research potential companies to target Make targeted outbound calls to potential new customers Engage with potential customers through social media and online platforms Re-engage dormant or lapsed customer accounts Support marketing campaigns and identify upsell opportunities Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records Coordinate with engineers for site visits, trials or customer support Visit key account sites around the UK when required (occasional overnight stays, with travel and hotel provided)

About You

Experience in business development, sales or customer service (ideally in manufacturing/engineering) Confident, organised, proactive and self-motivated Strong communication and relationship-building skills Comfortable discussing technical products on the phone and face to face (full training provided) Strong IT and CRM skills Comfortable learning and developing technical product knowledge Full UK driving licence (required) Must have the right to live and work in the UK
