Responsibilities

Lead financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering professional development and high performance.
Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and internal policies related to financial operations.
Manage payroll, pensions, and associated tasks.
Prepare financial information for R&D tax credit claims.
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure transparency and compliance.
Experience
Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry sector.
Strong background in financial accounting, services, and reporting standards.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Extensive knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and cost control techniques.
Experience in managing accounts payable processes and implementing financial controls.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to analyse complex data and present clear insights.
Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent are highly desirable.
