IT background

The IT team at The Bicester CollectionTM are central to the organisations ambitious growth targets. We deliver our tech through 4 core functions; Engagement, Design, Deliver and Run.

Our Engagement function works closely with the business to understand/anticipate their technology needs and support wider business change, our Design team look after IT Risk, Information Security and the technical architecture of solutions we deliver, the Delivery team lead business and technology change projects and our Run team operate a secure, reliable technology platform, supplier network and support service.

These 4 streams come together to create Value Retail IT, dedicated to protecting the value of the organisation and enabling business growth.

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Business Intelligence Business Analyst / Project Manager is responsible for 1. managing the successful delivery of the Business Intelligence / PowerBI projects and ensuring the Business Intelligence platform, systems and solutions are stable, reliable and well supported. 2. the co-ordination of defining, analysing & documenting business requirements that maximise business impact / benefits. This role will: \xc2\xb7 Ensure the management of the Business Intelligence portfolio such that projects, continuous development and support are delivered on time, to budget, and with the anticipated level of business benefit \xc2\xb7 Ensure a high level of structure in the project teams with appropriate governance and adherence to formal frameworks (in a way that is aligned to agile way of working) \xc2\xb7 Ensure the portfolio\'s financial performance, risks and issues are closely monitored and clearly communicated. \xc2\xb7 Facilitate workshops and interviews with business stakeholders clearly defining business requirements \xc2\xb7 Build the requirements into use cases / journeys, creating / adjusting operational processes and gaining full business sign off \xc2\xb7 Help craft the business case to elevate requirements to fully implemented solution enhancements The Business Intelligence Business Analyst / Project Manager will work closely with key business stakeholder, leading joint design efforts to offer a new solution or value proposition to customers, automate processing or to improve existing business processes and associated technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management

Full project lifecycle management all workstreams, including:

\xc2\xb7 Work with Product Owners to build and sign off Product Backlog / Project Definition

\xc2\xb7 Ensure solution design approval, and resulting product is secure, stable and well supported,

\xc2\xb7 Manage the delivery of the features in the Product Backlog using a combination of inhouse and

nearshore agile development teams

\xc2\xb7 Handover of newly implemented change to appropriate Business / Technical support

\xc2\xb7 Controls (managed through standard governance process):

o Milestone plan and status reports for workstreams and projects,

o Success Criteria / Benefits Case,

o Budget Management,

o Risks, Issues, Actions & Decisions

Quality Assurance / Standards

\xc2\xb7 Full system and user testing, signed off prior to implementation

\xc2\xb7 Complete quality assurance reviews to monitor the quality of project deliverables and reporting \xc2\xb7 Maintain project methodologies, to ensure a consistent use of processes and practices \xc2\xb7 Coach and mentor team to ensure adoption and consistency \xc2\xb7 Gather, understand and develop requirements and produce high quality requirements documentation (such as BRD, User Stories, Use Cases and Acceptance Criteria) \xc2\xb7 Manage requirements gathering sessions, capture minutes meeting, follow up on action items, report project status, and own project documentation \xc2\xb7 Assist the business with business case development for proposed initiatives and requirements \xc2\xb7 Support Strategy definition, Organisation design & transformation (including organisational change management), Process design and implementation \xc2\xb7 Participate in business process design and solution design workshops \xc2\xb7 Work closely with the Solutions, Development and Testing teams throughout the project life cycle to ensure that the requirements (functional and non-functional) are understood and development is aligned \xc2\xb7 Develop test scripts from the use cases and assist with User Acceptance Testing \xc2\xb7 Work closely with IT and business delivery teams to ensure smooth trial / POC \xc2\xb7 Work closely with training resource to onboard changes into the business \xc2\xb7 Review and understand multiple designs and ensure formation of a creative and consistent solution. \xc2\xb7 Able to manage the client\'s expectations so that the resultant system meets their budget and time constraints.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION: Extremely strong Business Analysis background with a demonstrable track record of operating effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, challenging and delivery focused Project / Programme environments containing blended teams (e.g. permanent, contract, vendor, SI, Business/IT/operational teams, offshore). Essential competency / experience: \xc2\xb7 Minimum 3-5 years experience in business analysis, at least 2 of which are working as part of complex business change programmes \xc2\xb7 Able to demonstrate experience of project delivery \xc2\xb7 A thorough understanding of all different aspects of project management, and can explain and direct others to deliver these \xc2\xb7 Direct experience managing a modern Business Intelligence platform / portfolio \xc2\xb7 Understanding of Microsoft BI stack and Power BI \xc2\xb7 Exposure to data standards, concepts and data governance best practice \xc2\xb7 A thorough understanding of all different aspects of business analysis \xc2\xb7 Experience of structured methodologies such as TDD, Agile, and Waterfall \xc2\xb7 Confidence to facilitate Workshops / deliver Training / hold Road Shows \xc2\xb7 Strong analytical skills, able to map out and understand complex, interdependent issues

\xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal communications skills \xc2\xb7 Extremely well organised and detail oriented \xc2\xb7 Confident, driven with a strong determination to succeed Desirable competency / experience: \xc2\xb7 Formal project management qualifications \xc2\xb7 Formal business analysis qualifications, such as BCS diploma in Business Analysis or IIBA CCBA or CBAP Certified \xc2\xb7 Experience of reporting into steering group level \xc2\xb7 Familiar with formal test planning / management \xc2\xb7 A good understanding of cyber security and system support \xc2\xb7 Exposure to data standards, concepts, and data governance best practice \xc2\xb7 Experience of projects involving the integration of technologies such as Salesforce, Oracle Financials, SAP SuccessFactors, MRI Software, Planon, and Microsoft BI stack
