At Aspire Systems Cardiff we're development people. We build brilliant and complex software solutions and make it look super easy. We have an opportunity available for a Business Manager to join us for ten months on a fixed-term contact to cover maternity leave, December 2025 until September 2026.

The Business Management role is extremely varied and busy, requiring largely single-handed management and delivery of several key aspects of business operations.

We're based in a great location in the centre of Cardiff. Due to the nature of the role and the depth of business knowledge required to deliver effectively within a short period, the role would be 100% office based. The Business Management role is key to helping us achieve this ethos.

The role:

Human Resources management. Management of site health and safety. Management of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 27001 Security Management System. Project and events management. Facilities management. Internal marketing and PR.

Essential skills:

Experience managing HR for an SME. Business management experience including ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met from an employment and health and safety perspective. Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001 and ideally experience managing a quality management system.

Desirable but not essential skills:

CIPD level 5 or above. NEBOSH qualification. Internal audit experience, ideally ISO 9001 and 27001. Working knowledge of business infrastructure requirements. Experience developing and delivering internal training.
