Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Manager to oversee our operations and drive the success of our organisation. The Business Manager will oversee the charity's operational, financial, and strategic functions to ensure effective delivery of programmes and compliance with all regulatory and funder requirements. The post holder will lead on finance, planning, project administration, performance reporting, and organisational development, working closely with trustees, staff, and volunteers.

Responsibilities



Develop, monitor, and manage budgets across projects and funding streams. Maintain accurate financial and project records in line with OSCR and funder reporting requirements. Support grant management, including funder claims, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting. Coordinate day-to-day operations and ensure policy and compliance. Prepare reports and documentation for the Chief Officer and Board of Trustees. Support project planning, data collection, and performance reporting. Build partnerships and identify opportunities for income generation and collaboration.

Requirements



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff at all levels. Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and execute them successfully. Proficiency in analysing data and making informed decisions based on insights. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills. Graduate-level qualification in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field; strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills. Extensive experience working with, and/or managing projects within large, multicultural, and multinational organisations. Must have demonstrable experience in leading teams and providing mentorship to staff or volunteers. Must be based in Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
Desirable: Experience in the charity sector, knowledge of OSCR reporting, and project management certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-48,000.00 per year
