About the role



RWG is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Manager to lead our Advanced Remanufacturing Business (ARB) based in Dyce, Aberdeen.



This key role carries P&L responsibility and is accountable for defining, communicating, and driving the strategic direction of the business to meet the evolving needs of our internal and external customer portfolio. As Business Manager, you will be instrumental in executing key business objectives to achieve business goals, identifying and capitalising on sustainable growth opportunities, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and profitability.

The successful candidate will provide clear leadership and direction to a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Success in this role requires close partnership with the ARB management team and core functional groups to deliver on both technical and commercial objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the gas turbine industry, aerospace component repair or a related sector. An overview of your day



Financial responsibility for ARB's budget, including planning, tracking, and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets and company objectives. Lead margin improvement initiatives through efficiency, pricing strategies, and value-added opportunities. Prepare long-term forecasts to support capital planning and investment decisions. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and competitive advantage. Develop robust business cases, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and sound financial analysis. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, representing the company in key negotiations. Lead and motivate the team, ensuring effective communication, training, and resource planning to deliver on business strategy. Collaborate closely with the ARB management team and core functions to ensure operational excellence and alignment with company goals. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational processes. Support and promote continuous improvement and other company improvement programmes. Oversee departmental P&L and balance sheet, and provide regular updates to senior leadership on strategy, performance, and key projects. Role may require travel within the UK, Europe, and internationally.

What we need from you



Degree in Business Management or Engineering, or HND/HNC with apprenticeship. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities. Strategic thinker with effective time and workload management. Proficient in ERP systems and data analysis for business improvement. Solid understanding of QHS&E in engineering environments. Experience with gas turbines and component repair. Proven leadership effectiveness, ideally in a related industry. Strong financial management and commercial awareness.
