We are looking for a proactive and analytical Business Manager to support our Fixed Income Financing (FIF) desk. This role is critical in providing strategic and operational support to trading and sales teams, ensuring effective management of business performance, risk, controls, and regulatory deliverables. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong analytical and organizational skills to play a key role in supporting a high-performing front-office business. You will gain exposure to a dynamic trading environment and work closely with traders, sales, and cross-functional teams to implement the strategic goals of the business.


Essential Skills:

Solid experience in business management, finance, operations, or a related function. A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving abilities and a sharp analytical mindset. Exceptional attention to detail and a solution-driven approach. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines. A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently. Strong team ethic and adaptability to take on a variety of responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with Fixed Income products or financing markets. Understanding of operational flows and controls within trading environments. Awareness of the regulatory environment affecting financial markets. Experience with project management tools or methodologies.

Purpose of the role

Accountabilities

Collaboration with business and senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Liaison between different business units and functions, fostering communication and collaboration. Management and coordination of strategic initiatives, projects, and change management efforts to optimize business processes and strengthen the control environment. Improvement of operational efficiency within the organisation including the identification of areas for improvement, streamlining of processes, and implementation of best practices to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Development of performance reporting for key metrics that reinforce the strategic objectives of the division and support the external commitments made. Involvement in aspects of financial analysis and budget management, including assistance in financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring of financial performance against targets. Support to business heads in partnership with HR on hiring, workforce planning, joiner/mover/leaver actions.
