We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically skilled individual to join our Rating Team as a Business Rates Audit Manager. This role involves researching and analysing business rates data to identify opportunities for clients, while also contributing to business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the UK business rates system, strong Excel skills, and experience working with complex datasets.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct online research to gather information on businesses and their property portfolios Analyse business rates data using Microsoft Excel and relevant systems (e.g. Analyse, RatesData) Interpret data from the Valuation Office Agency and other sources to identify potential savings or opportunities Make clear, evidence-based recommendations based on research findings Support business development by securing new audit instructions and building client relationships

Skills & Experience:



Proven experience in business rates, ideally within an audit or advisory capacity Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with mail merges is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently Professional, flexible approach to work and problem-solving
