MCS Performance is a family-run car dealership in Colchester. We've recently adapted from performance cars to affordable quality stock in the 8-10k range, focusing on quick turnaround and customer care. We use platforms such as
Autotrader, ClickDealer, Motorway, and Canva
daily, and we're looking for someone who can keep our systems organised while helping us grow smarter and more efficient.
This role starts with admin and sales support but has scope to expand into
social media and marketing
as the business grows.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised assistant to support our sales director and owner with the smooth running of daily operations. The right person will be proactive, confident, and not afraid to suggest improvements.
Day-to-day, you'll:
Perform clerical duties: data entry, filing, record-keeping
Manage incoming calls with professionalism, directing enquiries as needed
Assist with adverts and stock updates on
Autotrader
and our
ClickDealer DMS
Support sales by helping shortlist and monitor cars on
Motorway
Prepare simple reports and presentations (Microsoft Office & Google Workspace)
Maintain office supplies and basic bookkeeping (QuickBooks familiarity a bonus)
Organise meetings and task lists so nothing gets missed
Liaise with garages, warranty providers, and suppliers when required
(Growth task) Use
Canva and Facebook
to create simple posts to boost visibility and sales
Requirements
Previous
office/administration experience
(essential)
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace)
Quick to learn new systems (Autotrader, ClickDealer, Motorway)
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Good phone manner and communication skills
Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a small, fast-moving team
Familiarity with QuickBooks is helpful, but not essential
Confident, proactive, and able to speak up -- not just a "yes" person
