You will play a key role in delivering high-quality business support across our Inclusion Services ensuring smooth operations and excellent service for our staff and the families we support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing sensitive and confidential information.
Respond to customer enquiries ensuring a professional and helpful service.
Process referrals, reports, and correspondence efficiently, using Microsoft Office and internal systems.
Support the team with mailbox management, categorisation, and archiving, streamlining processes for maximum efficiency.
Arrange and support meetings and events, including preparing materials, booking venues, and taking accurate minutes.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture--supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge, and helping to train others as needed.
Ensure compliance with Council policies, GDPR, safeguarding, and health and safety regulations.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience in an office environment, with strong administrative and customer service skills.
Is proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Can work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and a solution-focused approach.
Communicates clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally.

Until 31st March 2026 existing employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional days leave (pro rata for part-time). The Council is in consultation with trade unions regarding continuation of any agreement from 1st April 2026.
