Hazlewoods is proud to be one of the largest independent chartered accountants and business advisers in the Southwest, with 600 employees across our Gloucestershire, Bristol, and Cardiff offices.

Our business solutions team provide a range of accounting services from bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns through to year end compliance and tax advice for companies across a broad industry sector. As a key growth area of the business we are now looking to recruit an experienced Associate to join the team.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent position, hybrid

Office location: Staverton, Gloucestershire

Role and Responsibilities:

Assist with a varied portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong relationships and acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day queries. Prepare statutory accounts for companies and LLPs, along with associated corporate, partnership, and personal tax returns. Assist in the preparation of accounts for partnerships and sole traders. Mentor and support junior team members, including apprentices and placement students.

Person requirements

ACA/ACCA part qualified, AAT qualified or qualified by experience. Experience of working with a variety of clients in an accountancy practice. Sound knowledge of Excel, Xero and Sage.
