The opportunity
We are looking for a qualified and experienced accounts assistant. This is a part time role based at our Oxford office.
Reporting to our accountant and senior management team, you will be working with colleagues across the business and be responsible for the day to day duties of the accounts assistant. The role is flexible, and after the initial office-based probation period, we have hybrid working currently in place, 3 days per week in the office and the remainder at home.
It is an interesting and varied role in which there is plenty of opportunity to grow, learn and make your mark working within a supportive and professional team who support all employees to achieve the business objectives.
Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, willing to learn and have a keen eye for detail. You will be qualified or part qualified to a minimum of AAT or equivalent, with a good working knowledge of Sage, MS Office, Adobe.
What will you do?
You will work closely with the management team in providing accounts support in the day to day financial operations, including bank account reconciliation, Sage input and reports, general resolving of queries including invoice related. You will assist the Directors in developing a monthly cashflow report and dashboards.
What we are looking for:
Weekly reconciliation of payments received
Run weekly reports on Sage
Review debtors weekly and issue statements and further emails as required
Process transactions, invoices, credit control, payroll and expenses
Develop and present weekly cash flow reporting
Deal with queries relating to our own client invoices
Provide information to accountants preparing the Monthly P&L Management Papers
Assist in Management meetings, preparing agendas, distributing papers relating to finance
Assist with general matters including reporting, analysis and adhoc tasks
Essential:
AAT part qualified or equivalent with similar experience
Software experience of Sage, MS Office, Adobe products
Good communicator, with a positive nature to engage with the team
Strong English reading and writing skills
Conscientious, accurate and thorough
Creative to bring new ideas and presentations to the table
Plan and meet deadlines
Desirable:
P & L and cashflow experience would be desirable but not essential.
