Hayman Mechanical Services Ltd is a fast-growing mechanical and electrical contractor based in Wigan. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Administrator to join our team and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our operations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys variety, and takes pride in keeping a business running efficiently behind the scenes.

About the Role



The Business Support Administrator will provide essential support across several departments including Accounts, Projects, Service, Compliance, Fleet, and Commercial. You'll be the go-to person for day-to-day administrative coordination, ensuring our engineers, managers, and clients receive timely and accurate support.

Key Responsibilities



People & Compliance



Maintain employee records, training logs, lateness and event tracking. Support ISO documentation, audits, and general compliance administration. Prepare new starter packs and process onboarding paperwork. Maintaining gas safe register Applying for relevant employee disclosures (DBS,CSCS)

Fleet & Asset Management



Coordinate MOTs, servicing, repairs, and breakdowns. Manage fleet documentation and liaise with insurance providers for claims.

Procurement & Stock



Oversee PPE, tooling, and material stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment.

Commercial & Marketing Support



Assist with commercial activity and basic marketing campaigns. Support the wider business with data collation and reporting. Growing social media presence and develop strategy

Accounts



Manage and maintain subcontractor insurance tracker Provide holiday cover for entry level finance tasks Assist with supplier and customer queries Maintaining accounts dept inboxes and ensuring correct filing

Client & Project Support



Answer client calls and log jobs accurately into the system. Provide job updates, follow up on quotations, and maintain communication with clients. Support Project Managers with O&M manuals, progress documentation, plant hire, and subcontractor liaison.

About You



Highly organised with strong administrative experience. Confident communication with engineers, clients, and suppliers. Able to priorities varied workloads and work to deadlines. Comfortable using IT systems and maintaining accurate records. Proactive, reliable, and eager to support a busy operational team. Experience within construction or engineering is beneficial but not essential.
