Business Support Assistant Level 2

We are currently advertising for a part time (30 hours per week) Business Support Assistant L2. The role is responsible for undertaking reception and administrative duties, working in a team under the supervision of the Business Support Manager. As the first point of contact at the Centre, you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills as well as a strong I.T skill set. Transcription typing and experience in the medical sector is advantageous. The vacancy provides Business Support to the Integrated Service for Children with Disabilities (ISCD) Health which is based at the Moor Lane Centre, Chessington.

The part time vacancy provides Business Support to Health Services for Children with Disabilities, and is predominantly a reception role based at the Moor Lane Centre in Chessington.

Please note the job description salary stated is for a full time role. As this is a part time role the salary is based on a part time, pro rata rate.

About the role

The role is hybrid, with an expectation that you operate a mix of working from home as well as being office based. You will be working closely with other Business Support Officers and as part of a team, so it will be important for you to form strong working relationships to ensure that you are able to meet the statutory deadlines of the service.

Some of the key responsibilities will include;

  • Reception Duties, being the first point of contact for phone calls and visitors, booking appointments, providing excellent customer service and a welcoming experience for those visiting the Moor Lane Centre.
  • A background in Health Services and touch typing are both advantageous.
  • Managing and responding to all requests received in the Business Support inbox.
  • Providing administrative support to meetings. This includes creating an agenda and taking minutes.
  • Fielding all telephone calls and messages via emails.
  • Receipt and processing of invoices.
  • Supporting the team with the organisation of workshops/events.
  • Supporting with I.T. set up and the creation of resources as required.
The role will require an individual to have strong admin and digital experience to undertake a range of these functions to ensure that they are providing excellent support to those in the directorate and to our children, young people and their families.
