Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support to join our family of care homes. As a Business Support, you will undertake a broad range of reception, administrative, secretarial and Human Resources duties, providing pivotal support to the Site Manager in all aspects of running the Home.
Responsibilities
Supporting the Site Manager with administrative and secretarial duties.
Presenting a professional and caring first contact for visitors to the home.
Managing general correspondence, telephone enquiries and reception duties.
Preparing of Payroll and submission of summaries relating to payroll.
Record keeping and minute taking in meetings.
Maintaining all records relating to the Local Authority, Health Boards; contracting and financing.
Playing a key role in the safeguarding of all company, public and personal monies.
Providing summary of invoices issued and payments received to Central Support.
Playing a key role in ensuring staffing levels are maintained by taking the lead / assisting with the home's rota.
Maintaining all staff personnel files and to a high standard.
Supporting and assisting new employees with their induction framework.
Supporting the management team with residents moving into the home, ensuring the team is aware and the bedroom is welcoming.
Supporting the management team as required with the uploading of information to the relative platforms such as RADAR and Nourish.
Organising staff mandatory and individual training sessions.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a Business Administration role or similar.
Some knowledge and understanding of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 (RISCA) with regards to Administrative sections within the Act.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills.
Effective IT skills in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use OT platform for Payroll and HR.
Ability to relate to individuals in a sensitive, dignified and respectful manner.
Ability to work collaboratively with Group wide teams i.e. Uxbridge and Cardiff Support.
Effective Customer Service skills.
An understanding of and adherence to Caron Group's ethos.
Desirable Requirements
Ability to read/write/speak the Welsh language.
Some knowledge and understanding of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014.
Level 2/3 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent.
