The Business Support Officer will provide administrative, financial, and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant's day-to-day activities. This role supports management in implementing business processes, maintaining records, coordinating communication between clients and customer service functions. You will also be responsible for driving business expansion and collaborating with senior management to develop a franchise model.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily administrative operations, including correspondence, scheduling, and filing.
Maintain and update restaurant records, licenses, and compliance documents.
Prepare reports, memos, and other documentation as required by management.
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
Assist with processing invoices, expense reports, and petty cash reconciliations.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities.
Help monitor stock levels, purchase orders, and deliveries to ensure inventory accuracy.
Maintain financial records in coordination with the finance team or accountant.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training documentation for staff.
Maintain employee records, attendance logs, and leave management systems.
Support payroll preparation by providing accurate staff information and timesheets.
Provide logistical support for meetings, staff events, and promotions.
Monitor operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support the management in implementing policies, procedures, and standards.
Handle general customer inquiries and feedback in coordination with management.
Prepare and distribute internal communications and updates to staff.
Assist with marketing activities, including social media updates and promotional events.
Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).
1-3 years of experience in an administrative, operational, or business support role -- ideally within hospitality.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or restaurant management software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
