There is also the requirement for the post holder to complete the finance work created by licensing applications, as well as taking minutes, sending out communications and other administrative functions.
The service is a customer focused environment, the team is busy, and demand led, and the Business Support Officer role is vital as it is the first point of access to the service for customers, and to ensure service delivery.
There is a requirement to work flexibly in accordance with the needs of the service and the successful candidate is to be expected to work in the office on a rota basis due to the service offering a front facing service for hackney carriage / private hire customers. Our office is currently based outside of the town centre at the Council's offices at Flint Street South.
Initially, there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to be in the office daily to receive on the job training. Following the training and once deemed competent, the successful post holder will be added to the rota for office cover and the post holder will be able to work from home when they are not on the rota for office duties.
You will assist the wider team in ensuring the office functions are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
