Are you highly organised, resilient, and ready to support a team making a real impact in children's lives? We're looking for a Business Support Officer to join our Family Assessment Support Team within the Children and Families Service at North Yorkshire Council.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be a key part of a busy team working to statutory deadlines and providing essential support to Operational Managers, Social Workers, and partner agencies.
What You Will Be Doing
Providing high-quality administrative support in a sensitive and confidential environment
Taking accurate minutes of high-profile and often sensitive meetings
Managing and prioritising a varied workload under tight deadlines
Liaising with internal teams and external professionals to ensure smooth communication
Supporting the team both in the office and remotely through our hybrid working model
What You Will Bring
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and data inputting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently, problem-solve, and stay solution-focused
A calm, professional approach to sensitive and challenging situations
An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and safeguarding principles
