Weekly Hours: 37 hours

We are looking for somebody with an analytical mindset, who can solve complex problems.

As a Business Systems Analyst you will work as part of a team, on a full-time permanent basis, to administer the effective operation, maintenance, development, and implementation of multiple East Midlands policing systems and to ensure the quality, integrity and best use of data held on the systems.

We are an essential support service providing all the IT and information systems needed to meet the operational and support requirements of Leicestershire Police.

Key Accountabilities

  • To maintain systems by managing configuration and accuracy, ensuring interlinking system stability through system checks and analysis.
  • To facilitate any system changes and communicate to users through appropriate mechanisms ensuring effective control and reduction of risk to the security, performance and availability of systems.
  • To ensure alternative fallback measures are in place for business continuity purposes when systems are unavailable including communication with key stakeholders.
  • To take ownership of system problems, investigate, diagnose, and manage fault resolution in conjunction with customers, other members of the IT department and external
The must haves
  • Qualified to degree level in a Business Systems and Analytical discipline or can demonstrate experience gained in an environment requiring research at a degree level.
  • An IT Customer Service role working in either a help desk environment or with information systems as an administrator, or three years\' experience working in a policing environment using operational or operational support systems.
  • The ability to prioritise, plan, schedule and monitor own work

Salary - \xc2\xa335,223 - \xc2\xa337,953 (subject to pay review)

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
