5 days out of 7 (rota-based, includes weekends)

We are looking to recruit an experienced

Butcher

for our busy

Asian butchery

, part of an established and successful quality organisation.

With both a

retail shop and distribution service

, we sell a fantastic range of freshly prepared meats and products, using the best of local produce from our premises.

The Role

As a

Butcher

, you will work as part of our butcher team preparing a range of fresh meat products. You'll be passionate about quality, freshness, and customer service, and you'll enjoy advising customers to help them make great meals.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage daily production to support the operation Prepare and cut meat, including specific joints and specialist cuts Set up and maintain counter displays Serve customers, advise them, and make recommendations Monitor stock levels, place orders, and complete weekly stock counts Work efficiently to minimise waste and maximise yield Maintain cleanliness of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards Close down the prep and counter areas daily and prepare for the following day
Key Experience & Attributes

Proven experience as a butcher

Food Hygiene Certificate (required)

Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices Strong presentation and customer service skills Hardworking, reliable team player Flexible to work weekends (rota-based)
