The Role

We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join our small, dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be confident in all aspects of butchery and have a passion for quality produce and customer service. You'll be working in a hands-on environment preparing and presenting premium meat products, ensuring high standards of hygiene, and delivering an exceptional experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

Cutting, trimming, deboning, and preparing a range of meats to customer specifications Serving customers, offering expert advice, and maintaining excellent service standards Managing stock rotation, quality control, and display presentation Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety Assisting with ordering, receiving deliveries, and ensuring proper storage Supporting day-to-day operations and contributing to a positive team environment
Requirements:

Proven experience as a butcher (retail or artisan/boutique environment preferred) Excellent knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts and preparation methods Strong understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations Good communication and customer service skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Passionate about quality produce and traditional butchery
