Job Description

We are currently seeking a Butcher/Deli assistant to join our team at our friendly butcher's shop in Merley. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and the preparation of meat cuts.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare cuts of meat according to customer specifications - Prepare cook and serve a range of homemade Deli Produce - Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained throughout the butchering process - Assist in rotating & managing stock control - Uphold cleanliness and organisation in the butchery area - Provide excellent customer service by offering advice on meat selection and cooking techniques

Requirements:

- Experience with food as a Butcher or Deli staff member in a retail butchers or deli shop, or food production setting

- Knowledge of various cuts of meat and butchering techniques and or Deli counter Experience

- Strong understanding of food safety regulations

- Ability to work efficiently in a retail environment

- Excellent communication skills and customer service
