Due to continued growth we are seeking a Butchers Assistant & Delivery Driver to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary practices, particularly in meat preparation and food safety. As a Butchers Assistant & Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products, contributing to our commitment to exceptional food standards.

Duties

The role will include assisting the butchers with preparation for fresh food produce, the role will also include delivering the produce to some of our commercial clients. Prepare and cut various types of meat according to specifications, ensuring high-quality presentation for commercial and domestic customers. FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE IS A MUST Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to strict food safety standards. Process orders efficiently while managing inventory levels of meat products. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure timely preparation of orders requiring specific cuts. Monitor and maintain equipment used in meat processing, reporting any maintenance needs promptly. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to food production and preparation.

Experience

Previous experience within the food industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Familiarity with various cuts of meat and their appropriate uses in cooking. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members alike. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality food products.
