The procurement family drives value through strategic sourcing policy and practices, evaluation and selection of appropriate suppliers and ensuring responsible procurement practices across the Survitec group. They monitor and forecast changes in external source markets, identify critical materials and substitutes and develop material sourcing and contingency plans to support new product development and introduction
Job Summary
This role purchases materials, parts, supplies and equipment in line with purchasing strategy,
processes and policy. It drives business value by optimising price, delivery and other supplier terms
Duties and responsibilities
Understands and applies relevant category strategies, based on deep understanding of Survitec products, global / regional / sector processes, stakeholder needs and business requirements
Ensures effective relationship building with allocated suppliers, ensuring buying is carried out
within key supplier relationship termsIdentify contract requirements and writes detailed supplier specifications for an allocated
supplier portfolioCollates and analyses buying data using agreed tools, methods and formats; organises and
summarises findings using appropriate software and presenting findings to appropriate
standards and formatsEvaluates costs and identify variances or opportunities to improve profitability against individual suppliers or types of goods
Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on
complex processes and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for
interpretation of policyIdentifies instances of non-compliance with Survitec's purchasing policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as
appropriateContributes to stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their

Experience and qualification
Educated to High School / Further Education College, with 2 A Levels or equivalent
3 - 6 years of general role-related experience enables job holder to deal with most situations and to advise others
Up to 6 months of experience of coordinating the work of others may prove useful in this role
