Looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented individual to join our Procurement team. The position is ideal for someone who is already working in a procurement role within a manufacturing organisation and with an understanding of steel products with a keen interest in developing their career.xc2xb7 Raise and process Purchase orders accurately and promptlyxc2xb7 Maintain and update supplier recordsxc2xb7 Expedite deliveries and progress quotationsxc2xb7 Raise RFQ's and monitor budgets against spend.xc2xb7 Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliersxc2xb7 Support the Purchasing Manager in negotiating prices and terms with suppliers.xc2xb7 Assist in Managing and controlling stock/ inventory levels.xc2xb7 Support the Purchasing Manager and Quality Manager in Supplier audits.xc2xb7 Resolve and approve invoice queriesBasic engineering and steel industry knowledge.3 years Purchasing or negotiating experience as a minimum.A successful Buyer should have:xc2xb7 Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.xc2xb7 Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a particular emphasis on verbal.xc2xb7 Proficient user of Excel, Word & Powerpoint.xc2xb7 Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.xc2xb7 Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and prioritiesxc2xb7 Basic engineering and steel industry knowledge.xc2xb7 Enthusiasm and desire for learning and ambition to progress in the business.xc2xb7 Good standard of numeracy and literacyxc2xb7 3 years Purchasing or negotiating experience as a minimum.xc2xb7 Ideally, CIPS Level 5 or higher.xc2xb7 GCSE's inc Maths & English (desirable).Our client is a respected and established entity in the industrial and manufacturing sector.
