We are a London and Hampshire-based B Corp certified furniture company designing and manufacturing commercial furniture within the UK. We are currently a team of 60 with ambitious growth plans. We have established a strong client base with some of the most exciting and creative businesses in the UK and worldwide.

A fundamental principle for our business is our strong focus on designing and manufacturing products that have minimal negative impact on the environment. As an ever-evolving brand, we have ambitious plans. We have recently made a large investment and commitment into a full ERP system. This system provides us with the exciting opportunity to manage, grow and improve our supplier relationships and purchasing agreements.

Role Overview



Join our dynamic engineering team where you'll play a crucial part in transforming product concepts into manufacturing reality. Working alongside experienced engineers, designers, production specialists and another existing buyer, you'll be responsible for managing manufacturing suppliers and purchasing and data flow through our ERP platform (Epicor Kinetic).

A great communicator, energetic and willing to learn, with good judgment, the ability to negotiate and effectively communicate with suppliers, an analytical mind who can easily understand purchasing, supply chain and ERP systems, and who is confident, able and willing to suggest, investigate and introduce improvements and new processes. You enjoy analysing and solving complex problems and have careful attention to detail.

Core Responsibilities:



Gain a thorough knowledge of our products, Bills of Materials and components Learn and fully understand our ERP system Work with our Design team to understand new products and their associated BOMs Liaise with supply chain and build good working relationships to ensure that we obtain the best pricing and service At regular intervals, price-check suppliers and where necessary source new suppliers Carefully check purchase orders for accuracy, completeness and clarity Verify that product information, shipping information, costs and delivery dates are all correct before obtaining authorisation to place an order Proactively chase and manage suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and provide weekly updates to relevant departments Work with logistics partners for import and export of goods Work with the finance team to verify accuracy of purchase invoices Verify current stock levels and keep records to prevent inventory gaps Provide regular stock reports to relevant departments and set MOQ levels Note when stock is low and it is time to order new products Ensure supplier pricing information is accurate and updated on ERP

Essential Requirements



Academic & Technical Background:



Knowledge of ERP system fundamentals Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities Experience in a similar Buyer role (ideally in a manufacturing business) Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail Passion for learning new software and technologies Degree-level qualification or similar

Location:

Ropley, Hampshire SO24 (commuting/relocation required). Please note we are in a rural location, which is lovely, but you need your own means of transport.
