Job Description

Sabre Rail is seeking a proactive and experienced Buyer to join our Operational team. You'll be responsible for sourcing goods and services that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets, while building strong supplier relationships and supporting both existing and new product lines.

Key Responsibilities



Source and manage suppliers to meet production needs Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues Maintain accurate MRP data and stock levels Conduct RFQs, audits, and price reviews Collaborate across departments to ensure product availability Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives

Essential Requirements



Experience in procurement (engineering/manufacturing preferred) Strong negotiation and supplier management skills ERP/MRP system knowledge Full UK driving licence (site visits required) Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable Qualifications



CIPS Level 4 (or willingness to train - fully funded) HNC/HND or Degree Ability to read technical drawings

Working Hours



37 1?4 hours per week

Monday to Thursday - 08.30hrs to 17.00hrs

Friday - 08.30hrs to 15.30hrs
