The Role
An opportunity has arisen to join our Procurement department procuring mechanical and electrical materials across a range of residential projects. Working with a team in a vibrant fast paced environment. We are looking for the right candidate who is adaptable and is eager to work within the dedicated team.



Key Responsibilities:


Promote efficient and professional impression of the business both internally and externally. Expedite clear and concise communication both internally and externally. Communicate on lessons learnt (both positive and negative aspects) on projects and in the day-to-day activity within the business. Promote and adhere to the procurement business process. (Copy attached) Complete assigned tasks on a day-to-day basis. To be able to problem solve and address potential problems or challenges. To be open to learning new skills and techniques where required, including any role specific training. Actively participate in meetings where required. Assist in managing a strong, reliable supply chain. Source new supply chain partners (where applicable) Good organisation and time management skills. Assist in the smooth running of the procurement department, contributing to a positive team environment. To show respect and support to all other members of the team. Adhere to company values.

Role Specific Responsibilities:


Support the management of our site procurement strategy trackers for the projects assigned. Promote efficient and professional impression of the business externally. Promote and adhere to the procurement business process. Provide feedback to the estimating team where required. Provide accurate information for reporting and KPI's. Communicate on lessons learnt (both positive and negative aspects) on projects and in the day-to-day activity within the business. Better buy against the targets set with in our project CVRs (cost value report). Support material management audits on site where required. Manage call-off commodity material order with the operations team. Ensure all material orders are placed in a timely manner in line with the dates detailed within the Procurement trackers for projects. Input orders onto the IT system (Cybercube) and issue to relevant suppliers and site teams. Assist the aftercare team when required. Manage meetings with Supply chain partners. Expedite documentation, invoices and information from the supply chain. Expedite and chase overdue materials when required. Assist in the smooth running of the Procurement department. Communicate and liaise with site to establish best buying practices. Requirements
You will either have experience working as a Buyer in the Construction industry or you will have worked for a Builders Merchants. IT / Excel skills Package
