As a Buyer, you'll play a crucial role in managing procurement processes, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely deliveries. You'll oversee purchase orders, monitor inventory, and optimize supply chain performance. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Purchase Order Processing: Create, track, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely procurement at the best price and specifications.
Negotiation: Secure favourable terms with vendors, building win-win partnerships that benefit both parties.
Supplier Research: Continuously evaluate potential suppliers, providing recommendations to improve the supply chain.
Inventory & Order Monitoring: Track past-due orders and prevent stock shortages by taking proactive measures.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and communicate potential backorder risks, preventing service disruptions.
Process Improvement: Support initiatives to streamline procurement operations and enhance efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to facilitate smooth, coordinated supply chain management.
Invoice Review: Approve supplier invoices and reconcile discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:
MRP/ERP Systems: Hands-on experience managing procurement using MRP/ERP software.
Purchasing Experience: 1-3 years in a procurement role within manufacturing.
Industry Experience: Prior exposure to manufacturing environments.
Microsoft Office Proficiency: Skilled in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (SAP advantageous).
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Customer Service Skills: Strong internal and external communication with a customer-first approach.
CIPS Qualification: Certified or working towards CIPS accreditation preferred but not essential.
