Buyer

to join our

UK Purchasing

team. The company has seen strong growth and development and the Buyer role will be key to continuing this. The successful candidate be responsible for

sourcing product and services

managing suppliers

. Reporting to the Operations Director, the Buyer will support the delivery of the Purchasing strategy, and have the opportunity to be involved with projects to drive key Purchasing and business objectives across the UK site.

The key responsibilities of the Buyer role will be:

Source suppliers and services, including tendering, negotiation and onboarding Place purchase orders, track progress, invoice match, review and resolve discrepancies Manage subcontract processing and consumable suppliers to meet operational demands Monitor supplier and contractor performance, performing corrective actions as required Identify cost saving opportunities and implement improvements Provide coverage for Purchasing colleagues as required.

To be considered for the role you should:

Have solid experience in a similar purchasing role / environment Be a real team player, able to balance stakeholder needs and committed to best practice Be able to build positive, effective relationships with all colleagues and suppliers Be self-motivated and proactive, meticulous and detail oriented
Understanding of manufacturing processes would be an advantage
