Salary range: 37,000 - 45,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen due to internal progression. We are looking for a Buyer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract (FTC).
This role will provide vital support during upcoming category transitions, while also allowing us to review and adjust the scope of the position as needed. At the end of this period, the longer-term requirements will be assessed, and recruitment for a permanent role is expected to follow.

As a Buyer at Calor, you will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a comprehensive procurement service that meets our business needs and ensures best value. You will support the Procurement manager in executing Calor and SHV Energy's procurement strategies, focusing on cost and risk management, service levels, quality, and continuous improvements.
Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement strategies that drive down costs and deliver value. Your ability to build and nurture excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders will be crucial, as you act as a business partner to identify sourcing opportunities and define acceptable service levels.
You will lead competitive bidding processes to ensure responsible procurement of goods and services, following best practices such as tenders and e-auctions. Additionally, you will negotiate contracts and coordinate with the legal department to execute agreements, seamlessly integrating suppliers with internal stakeholders.
Establishing and maintaining clear supplier relationship management processes is key. You will monitor performance metrics to ensure compliance and address any issues that arise. Managing risk throughout defined spend categories and the supplier base will also be a significant part of your responsibilities, ensuring adherence to procurement policies.
You will oversee supplier onboarding, data management, category spend reporting, and other procurement-related tasks, ensuring accurate master data maintenance. Your efforts will support the overall procurement function and contribute to the success of Calor's strategic objectives.
