We offer a salary of
28,000 to 33,000
per annum along with the opportunity to work within a collaborative commercial environment. You'll play a vital role in supporting operational teams, influencing supplier performance, and contributing to continuous improvement across purchasing and stock management processes. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and company pension with the working hours: Mon 8am-5pm, Tue, Wed, Thurs 8.30am-5pm and Friday 8.00am-3pm.
Here's a look at some of the things you'll be doing:
Manage the procurement of all operational materials and plant, ensuring stock is ordered, tracked, and delivered in line with agreed timescales while chasing suppliers as required to prevent delays
Work closely with operational managers to support the smooth and efficient processing of works, ensuring client stock requirements are met and alternative sourcing options are identified and presented when standard supply routes are unavailable
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers, negotiating competitive and preferential rates, managing prompt invoicing for dispatched stock, and supporting cost-effective use of hired plant
Oversee stock control and plant management processes, including van stock replenishment, stock counts, auditing, WEEE waste processes, and ensuring all equipment is maintained, compliant, and tracked accurately

Strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the business
A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to prioritise workloads, adapt to change, and take ownership of responsibilities
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset focused on efficiency and best practice
Confident using Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and support effective delegation
