Overview


We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Buyer/Administrator to join our construction company. An in depth knowledge of construction materials will be essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services essential to our operation as well as managing the day to day administrative requirements of the business. .The Buyer/Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the timely availability of materials while maintaining cost efficiency and supplier relationships.

Duties



Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchase order placement. Analyse inventory levels and forecast future requirements to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and prices. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate delivery schedules and optimise supply chain efficiency. Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in accordance with company policies. Identify opportunities for process improvements within procurement workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new sourcing opportunities relevant to merchandising and supply chain needs.

Skills



Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous terms with suppliers. Knowledge of construction materials,logistics, supply chain management, and merchandising principles. Familiarity with procurement best practices within a construction environment. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Analytical mindset capable of interpreting data to inform purchasing decisions. Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders. Administration - also roles suited to an office manager role will also be required
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 22,209.49-38,809.09 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week
