Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, planning inventory levels, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials across our supply chain. This role requires strong negotiation skills to optimise procurement processes and support operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute purchasing strategies to meet production schedules and minimise costs. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, maintaining optimal stock levels. Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms. Collaborate with logistics teams to optimise transportation and distribution processes. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders. Stay informed about market trends and supplier developments relevant to the organisation's needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Buyer or Planner within a manufacturing or logistics environment. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial supplier relationships. Analytical mindset with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
