The role in short
An organised and methodical Buying Assistant that supports the Category Manager with a variety of Commercial tasks related to sourcing, purchasing, and merchandising of bathroom and kitchen products. To provide a full range of administrative support to the Commercial department.
What responsibilities does this role have?
Processing new product information through our systems and processes, so that the marketing team can bring them to our website Plumbworld.co.uk and marketplaces
Contacting suppliers to obtain data and work closely with the Category Managers and the marketing team to ensure all new product listings are in line with our website standards
Carry out market analysis, to keep up to date with market trends, feeding information back to the Category Managers for review
Identifying gaps and opportunities and proposing range enhancements and new ideas
Competitor pricing reviews and benchmarking
Quickly and accurately turn-round information, data and documentation
Liaising across departments to ensure our customers receive high quality customer service
Support the customer service and sales teams by managing and responding to technical queries for relevant product categories
Any additional ad-hoc activities as required.
