Job Description

A C# Engineer opening is available within high-performing scrum team based in Cape Town, South Africa, working for a Fintech company, where you will be responsible for driving solutions from inception to deployment. The role pays ZAR850,000/year plus benefits and bonus.

As a C# Engineer based in our Cape Town office, you will take ownership of solutions from concept to implementation and deployment. Working closely with cross-functional solution teams and the wider organisation, you\'ll identify opportunities to enhance and extend our solutions portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with clients to understand their challenges and enhance solution functionality
• Supporting designers in user experience research, prototyping, and validating solutions
• Translating prototypes into enterprise-grade, functional solutions
• Ensuring the highest product quality, resolving defects, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Building strong relationships with product development, implementation, and sales teams to share knowledge and deliver impactful solutions

We look for a mix of experience in the following:

• Experience in software development using C#, .NET Core
• Technical proficiency in XML, database programming with SQL
• Excell, NET, MVC, APIs, SQL Server, T-SQL
• Azure DevOps or similar CICD technologies
• Sound knowledge of industry working practices and SOLID development principles
• Expertise in Agile, working with well-defined product backlogs and user stories emphasising test driven development (TDD)
