Software Developer - Cross Domain - C++ & Java - Somerset - Multiple Levels of Developers up to Principle
Working within a Defence environment, you will be working with a large solutions team delivering cutting edge IT solutions for complex defence solutions.
The client is willing to cross train C++ and Java if the candidate has one domain already into a cross train
What you\'ll be doing:
- Designing technical solutions and providing software development and testing of those solutions
- Adherence to project processes and software development practices
- Supporting system test and integration activities
- Producing technical documentation
- Planning, scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work of the team
- Liaising with multiple stakeholders and reporting on progress
Essential:
- Experience with C++ and Java
- Experience of modern libraries including STL, Apache libraries (NiFi etc)
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals
- Linux or Windows development experience
- Ability and desire to learn new programming languages and technologies quickly
- Experience with scripting languages such as Ruby, Python or Bash
- Docker experience
- Understanding of low-level computing concepts
This role will be 5 days a week onsite in Somerset due to the security clearance requirements. To be eligible for SC Clearance, you need to have lived within the UK for the past 5 years.
