About This Opportunity

Incorporated in 2001, Webthinking is a well-established software development agency specialising in bespoke eCommerce development and system integrations with an established, long-standing client base. Our founders are developers themselves and have a genuine passion to innovate within the eCommerce industry.

We are seeking a passionate Software Developer preferably with a minimum of two years' experience, to join our creative team in building a new and innovative eCommerce platform from the ground up. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who thrives in a challenging and design-led environment and wants to be part of creating something transformative in the eCommerce space.

As a back-end developer, you'll work with a modern .NET tech stack, scalable architectures, and robust development practices to build secure, high-performance systems. You'll be part of a team that values clean, maintainable code to deliver future-ready solutions that power exceptional digital experiences.

Your Technical Toolkit

Essential:

Strong proficiency in ASP.NET 8+ and C#??? Experience with microservices architecture and API development??? Experience with Clean Architecture and SOLID design principles??? and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) Exposure to containerised Cloud-based hosting infrastructure, ideally with Azure Knowledge of authentication systems (Auth0)??? Experience working with Git-based source control Experience working with both relational and document-based (NOSQL) databases, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem (SQL Server and Cosmos)

Desired:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines??? Experience with event-driven architecture and message queuing? Experience with creating solutions from documentation and API specifications??? An understanding of testing practices, particularly with unit and integration testing Experience using AI as a productivity tool Exposure to the use of AI models particularly to enhance system functionality

The nature of this project and requirements of this role means that the successful applicant will be required to work full time at our office which is located near Hamilton Square, Birkenhead. Applicants should be willing and able to commute to our office.

Pay: 32,000.00-38,000.00 per year
