Overview of the role

We are seeking a HGV Driver C1 or C2 to add to the current fleet we currently operate. Our drivers play an integral part in the day to day running of our business. Therefore, it's really important that our customers get their deliveries on time, every time. Our drivers provide a timely, friendly and dependable delivery service to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities;

Driving our HGV/LGVs on pre-planned routes Ensure that the vehicle is road worthy by carrying out appropriate checks on a routine basis. Ensure that the vehicle is driven and maintained in an appropriate and courteous manner and in line with legislation, health and safety guidelines and company policy. Report any vehicle defects immediately to line/branch manager. Ensure that tachograph and other essential documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Build effective working relationships with customers. Responsible for ensuring all orders are correctly loaded onto the vehicle in line with health and safety procedures and proper documentation is completed prior to departure in order that goods can be tracked. Ensure that delivery notes have correct signatures as per company policy. Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property by being security conscious at all times. To perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.

Candidate requirements:

Hold the correct valid licence (Class 1 or 2) Driver Qualification Card (DQC) Positive and can-do attitude Willingness to support other members of branch staff with Warehouse/Yard or any other duties.

Desirable:

Experience of multi-site deliveries Knowledge of our products Moffet experience however if candidates do not have this we are willing to provide full training to obtain this licence

*Hours for this role are Monday - Friday 06:00 - 15:00

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-34,000.00 per year
