Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving roles, including flatbed and van driving, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. This position involves transporting goods to designated locations while ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. The Driver will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicle and communicating effectively with the warehouse team.

Duties

Operate flatbed and van vehicles to deliver goods safely and on time. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times. Assist with basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues when necessary.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C) or equivalent certification is essential. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed and van driving techniques is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance is desirable. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while adhering to schedules. A commitment to safety practices and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
