Job Description

This is a superb opportunity to work with one of the countries leading healthcare providers. Known as Make Ready Drivers you would be working as part of a team with the East of England Ambulance Trust in Kempston.

These will be full-time temporary ongoing roles with hourly rates starting at \xc2\xa311.45 per hour with enhanced rates for Saturdays and Sundays, up to \xc2\xa319.07.

The role is 37.5 hours a week, working 5 days in 7. Some weekend work is required. Shifts will be 06:00-14:00. Flexibility is essential.

Role:

• Collect, move and deliver vehicles including ambulances (C1 license essential), between stations and trust sites, ready for the Operational crews.

• Cleaning the outside and cabs of the vehicles in accordance with IPC Standards.

• To deliver and collect Trust Vehicles between Trust sites and/or external sites/agents.

• Liaise with internal departments including all Make Ready staff, local Operations staff and managers and Fleet/workshop staff.

• To confirm with Make Ready staff that the vehicle they are due to move has the correct levels of stock and equipment assets assigned.

• Liaise with external service departments including vehicle recovery services, maintenance providers, tyre companies, windscreen providers, truck-wash suppliers, and estate contractors.

You:

• Able to work autonomously and self-manage
• Well organised and efficient
• Flexible
• C1 Licence with no more than 3 points (over 1 year)
• Driving experience
• Understanding of basic vehicle maintenance, operations, and inspections
