CAD & Asset Technician


Help shape and improve a unique government estate


We're looking for a CAD & Asset Technician to keep our digital building records accurate, update space and asset data, and turn information into insights that guide smarter decisions.


Your work will help create safe, efficient, and future-ready buildings--making a real difference in how our estate is managed and transformed.


What you'll be doing

Keep CAD drawings up to date - create, amend, and manage plans to agreed standards. Upload drawings and asset data into our CAFM system to maintain reliable records. Collect and verify asset information using Excel and site surveys. Work with Asset Management, Projects, Maintenance, and Commercial teams to provide CAD and data support. Prepare visuals, presentations, and analysis for reports and client updates. Visit sites (driving required) to check building layouts and asset information. Support compliance, lifecycle planning, and estate transformation projects.

What you'll bring



Qualification in AutoCAD (ideally within a built-environment subject). Strong knowledge of CAD standards and quality assurance. Confidence working with complex, multi-layered CAD drawings. Proficiency in MS Excel for handling and analysing large datasets. Great attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a methodical approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly for site visits.

It's a bonus if you have:

AutoCAD experience in estates, facilities, or construction. Knowledge of BIM processes and standards (ideally Level 2). Experience with CAFM systems and large-estate reporting. Familiarity with facilities management and lifecycle planning.
