CAD Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software and will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed drawings for a range of plastic injection moulds.

This role requires you to work as an individual as well as a team environment, taking briefs from Sales and Customers to interpret them to a finished pack design.

Develop and prepare detailed CAD drawings using software such as Solid Works , Camworks Collaborate with Sales to understand the brief requirements and translate them into accurate designs. Produce product designs for approval from mould designers in conjunction with an existing toolroom. Maintain an organised library of CAD files for easy access by team members.
Participate in project meetings to when necessary with Sales to fully explore the brief.

Requirements

Proficiency in CAD software including Solid Works is essential
Strong understanding of engineering principles and design practices related to the industry.

Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
