Job Description
3D/2D Designer - CAD / CNC Programmer
We are looking for an experienced CAD / CNC Programmer to join a busy bespoke production team in Halesowen, Birmingham. This is a hands-on role working alongside skilled operators and craftsmen in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
Create 3D models from briefs or technical drawings Produce 2D working and component drawings Generate nesting and cutting files for CNC machinery Quantify materials required for projects Manage a catalogue of frequently used components Support machine operation and maintenance as needed Collaborate with design, technical and production teams Undertake other duties as required
Essential requirements:
Proven CAD programming experience Proficient in SketchUp or equivalent 3D design software Strong verbal and written English skills Experience in a carpentry, joinery or furniture-making environment
Desirable skills:
Familiarity with CNC machinery, preferably Homag Experience with WoodWop software Previous work in exhibition, events or bespoke installations
Working hours and benefits:
Standard hours: 07:30 to 17:00, with some flexibility Regular overtime during busy periods Work within a skilled and collaborative production team
