RAF-2448-STELLEX MANUFACTURING LIMITED - CAD DESIGNERStellex Manufacturing Ltd based in Hadston-Northumberland offer an extensive range of products for use in the catering industry, from the simplest of tables for food preparation through to bespoke and high spec servery counters. Throughout the Company's trading history, we have earned a reputation with the catering fabrication and distributor markets for providing high quality solutions and services to all its end users. We are now looking to recruit for a CAD Designer to join our team.Role Overview: Reporting directly into the Managing Director, this role is an integral part of the businesses ongoing success. As such, you will be responsible for working closely with the Design Team, Customers, and sister Companies within the Unitech Industries Group to assist with the development of existing and new business. The primary function of this role is to have the ability to convert any technical concept and catering solution into concise drawings using CAD facilities. Any drawings produced will be used to assist production through to installation, therefore these must meet high quality, measurable standards in terms of time and quantity. Other duties involved in this task are as outlined below:Main duties will include:

  • Liaise with internal and external customers to ascertain fully their needs prior to conversion into the required CAD drawings.
  • Be able to interpret technical requests into drawings in readiness for manufacturing output.
  • Work closely with the 'production staff to assist with any troubleshooting or new developments.
  • Become an integral player in the design and development of existing catering equipment solution and services provided.
  • Assist with any other duties as required by the business in line with your skill set and experience.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Must possess AutoCAD 2D and 3D experience and be qualified to a City and Guilds standard.
  • Experience with using Autodesk Inventor, metal work and flat patterning is an advantage.
  • Be able to work well as a team or on your own initiative.
  • Have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, as this role will involve liaising with a variety of stakeholders within the business including internal staff, customers, suppliers and Senior Management within the Unitech Industries Group.
