Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design and will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and schematics that support our construction projects. This role requires proficiency in various CAD software and the ability to collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Duties

Develop detailed CAD drawings and schematics using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and translate them into technical drawings. Create 3D models and visualisations using SketchUp and NavisWorks to aid in project presentations. Assist in the preparation of construction documents, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and regulations. Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, or clients, ensuring timely updates throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain an organised library of CAD files and documentation for easy access by team members. Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress, challenges, and solutions.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, and NavisWorks. Strong understanding of construction processes and standards related to CAD design. Ability to create accurate schematics that reflect engineering specifications. Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality assurance. Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Problem-solving skills to address design challenges creatively and efficiently.
