Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Support Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in computer-aided design and be proficient in various CAD software applications. This role involves collaborating and supporting our CAD engineer to create detailed drawings and schematics for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.

This is primarily a supporting role with salary dependant on experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and produce high-quality CAD drawings using specific software Create 3D models and visualisations. Prepare detailed schematics for construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Support the collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables. Review and revise designs based on feedback from team members or clients. Maintain accurate records of design changes and project documentation throughout the development process. Assist in the preparation of project proposals by providing technical drawings and specifications. Nesting customers orders to provide efficiency in material usage.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks. Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology. Ability to create detailed schematics and technical drawings with precision. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. Problem-solving abilities to address design challenges as they arise. Familiarity with industry standards related to CAD design is advantageous.
