Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in various CAD software and have a solid understanding of construction and engineering principles. This role involves creating detailed drawings, schematics, and models that support project development from initial concept through to completion.

Responsibilities

Develop and produce high-quality technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software. Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications. Create 3D models using SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and SolidWorks as required for visualisation and analysis. Ensure all drawings are accurate, up-to-date, and adhere to industry standards and regulations. Assist in the preparation of project documentation including specifications, reports, and presentations. Participate in project meetings to discuss design changes and updates with team members. Maintain an organised filing system for all project drawings and documentation.

Requirements

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and SolidWorks. Strong understanding of construction processes and engineering principles. Experience in producing detailed schematics and technical drawings is essential. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
