Is CAD your thing? Why not consider joining us, where you can use your skills and experience to make a difference in the housing sector.
As our CAD Technician you'll be working with a focus on our voids programme to complete clear as-built drawings of our void properties. This will not only ensure that we have accurate information about our housing stock but will also support the disposal of underperforming properties, enabling strong reinvestment into the business.
Within the role you'll ensure a consistent approach to the storage and design of CAD documentation, supporting a wide variety of colleagues across the business.
You'll undertake surveys as required by the business, using traditional surveying methods as well as 3D laser scanning to produce point clouds.
You will work closely with colleagues from across the business so strong working relationships will be built. And you'll be seen as a central point of contact for those seeking plans, working collaboratively on projects.
You'll be happy to travel, this role will see you out and about in our communities on a weekly basis. To support this, you will need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Experience using AutoCAD is essential for the role, plus experience using 3D laser scanning technology to produce cloud points will be ideal.
You'll also likely have experience of/be aware of Revit, SketchUP, Adobe creative suite and Trimble Realworks.
An understanding of modern methods of construction will support the role and you may have previous experience within a property or construction related organisation.
You'll consider yourself to be a people person and will be happy building strong working relationships with colleagues in the wider teams.
This is a hybrid role, so when not out and about in our communities you can base yourself from home. Due to the need to travel, you will ideally be located within our operating region.
Our operating region includes Wiltshire, Hampshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
