Job Description

The CAD Technician is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining technical drawings and plans for various projects.


This role requires proficiency in CAD software, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure that designs meet specifications and standards.

Essential:


Degree or certificate in CAD, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Previous experience as a CAD Technician or in a related role. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit). Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Desirable:


Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles. Experience working in the utility / construction industry.
responsibilities


Produce detailed drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers and architects. Revise and update existing drawings as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current standards. Work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and incorporate their feedback into the designs. Review drawings and designs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards and regulations. Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation. Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit) to create and modify designs. Keep up with new developments in CAD technology and industry practices.
